Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has justified its decision to sack fourteen (14) city guards for extortion and misconduct.
Officials say the affected persons were taken through due process and were given opportunity to respond to the charges that were leveled against them.
In an interview with Nhyira News, the Public Relations Officer of the Assembly, Godwin Okumah-Nyame, said some of the affected staff were found to have collected unapproved money from residents while others had vacated their post without permission.
