The Kintampo Municipality has successfully avoided domestic and market fire outbreaks in recent times, a development attributed to adherence to preventive education, according to Municipal Fire Commander, D.O.2 Twum Prempeh.
Speaking to Adom News, Commander Twum Prempeh emphasized that while bushfires have been recorded in the area, domestic and market fires have remained under control due to compliance with fire safety measures and continuous education by fire personnel.
“Our 24-hour patrol of critical areas in the municipality has been instrumental in curbing fire outbreaks. Residents’ adherence to preventive education has also played a significant role in maintaining this fire-free period,” he stated.
Despite these successes, the Fire Commander cautioned residents to remain vigilant and avoid complacency, stressing the devastating consequences of potential fire outbreaks.
He assured that fire education efforts would continue to ensure sustained awareness and safety in the municipality.
