King Promise, Mr Eazi were shocked when I approached them – Kojo Antwi

-

Ghanaian Afro pop, highlife and reggae music artiste, Kojo Antwi, also known as Mr Music Man, says he doesn’t mind approaching young musicians to learn from them.

According to him, there’s nothing wrong with an older musician learning from younger ones to build up his or her brand.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the music legend said Nigerian act Mr Eazi and Ghanaian singer King Promise were stunned when he contacted them that he wanted to work with them.

Though people see him as a musician who loves to stay out of the media, Kojo Antwi said he doesn’t mind contacting young musicians to tap ideas from them.

“I went to King Promise and Mr Eazi. Why not? They saw me and were shocked but I needed a bit of that young vibe,” he said.

When Andy Dosty asked him why, Kojo’s answer was “you have to go for it.”

It’s no longer surprising why Kojo Antwi recently featured Stonebwoy on his ‘Akyekyede3 Nante3’ song.

He also featured on King Promises’s ‘Bra’ song.

Kojo Antwi forms part of the tall list of musicians who would perform at Ghana World Music Concert 2019 at the Fantasy Dome tomorrow and on Sunday, July 04, 2019.

This event, expected to take place on August 3rd and 4th at the Fantasy Dome in La, Accra, will treat patrons to a weekend of incredible global music from 7 pm each day.
