Asante Kotoko National Circles Chairman, Kwaku Amponsah (Chairman K5) has rubbished a statement by Hearts of oak coach and director of football, Kim Grant which says, Kotoko signings are not backed by any strategic plan.
Reacting to the statement, Kwaku Amponsah said Kotoko currently are having one of the best management in terms of the running of football in Ghana and that attempt by the head coach of the phobian team is just to bring down Kotoko.
“What I have seen is that, people try to bring Kotoko down anytime that they are doing something good. So we won’t mind him [Kim Grant], we are focusing on how we can get to the money zone of the CAF Champions League, the most important thing for us now.”
“Everybody knows that, in Ghana Mr. George Amoako is one of the best administrators and they are the people running Kotoko now. Kotoko has one of the best managers currently; when it comes to the technical department, C.K Akunnor who is the head has captained a German team and the Black Stars so he one of the best.” He established.
Kim Grant replaced Seth Hoffman on November 8. He was until recently the technical director Ghana Premier League side, Elmina Sharks and also, the technical director for Cape-Coast based Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs.
