Talented Ghanaian footballer, Solomon Nyantakyi has confessed to murdering his mother and sister under very strange circumstances.
Nyantakyi is reported to have gruesomely massacred both relations in the city of Parma in Italy.
The incident which occurred on Tuesday night has left several Ghanaians in the city devastated and in shock.
The young footballer was arrested by police on an escape route in Milan on Wednesday morning after tracking him following the murder of his mother, Patience Nfum, 45 and his kid sister, Magdalene Nyantakyi, 11, who were all Ghanaians residing in Italy, on the sixth floor at San Leonardo.
The woman, Patience Nfum, originally from Ghana, was 43 years old. She had arrived in Italy many years ago, where her eleven-year-old daughter was born, who had just finished the first medium.
Raymond Nyantakyi, elder brother of the suspect reportedly discovered the lifeless bodies on his return from work Tuesday evening.
Nyantakyi the father of the family was traumatized upon reaching the police station after he had received news of the murder. The husband of the murdered woman and daughter had moved to London due to work for about a month and a half, having been an employee for 15 years in a company of gastronomic products at Parma. He decided to try his luck in the British capital and had it not been the sad incident, his desire was to transfer the whole family to England.
It is still unclear, the reason for the murder but reports suggest he went into hard drugs and joined the company of drug dealers.
Solomon was touted as one of the rising stars in Italian football as he flourished in the youth system of Parma, winning several titles with them.
He was promoted to the Parma senior team by Roberto Donadoni before the club went on administration and the young player’s career took a nose dive.
The 21-year-old played for Serie D for Imolese Calcio last season. He is reported to have put his career on hold and joined a gang noted for committing serious crimes in Italy.
