Residents of Ketu South have been urged to have regular checks especially with hepatitis B as one major health problem in the municipality which many are not privy to its effects.
At a health outreach by the Ketu South professionals and hepatitis b foundation of Ghana in collaboration with Emmaldo Ghana limited based in Accra, it was realized that many of the residents don’t go for checkups but wait until they are taken ill.
A practice according to the group is not healthy and the people need to be educated on the important of regular checkups.
Financial Secretary to the group in an interview with the media, Bless Henry Atoklo said the purpose of the health outreach which was held in Agbozume was to identify some health issues among the residents who are mostly farmers and fisher folks and help them.
The group also apart from the screening of over 400 residents, educated the communities on health related issues and how to deal with them.
The group in previous years also helped schools in the communities, educated the residents through radio programs.
