The Paramount Chief of Kenyasi No.1 in the Ahafo Region, Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, has called on the government to expedite work on the Tepa-Goaso road to ease the hardships faced by commuters due to its deplorable state.

Speaking during a visit by the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, and her entourage, the chief highlighted the dangers posed by the uncompleted road.

He noted that the project, which was awarded to Kofi Job Construction Limited, remains unfinished, leaving the stretch riddled with potholes and excessive dust.

This, he said, has led to frequent accidents and health complications for residents.

Nana Osei Kofi Abiri further urged the Regional Minister to ensure that the John Mahama-led government prioritizes the road’s completion.

Additionally, he called for the government and Newmont Ghana to pay close attention to improving road networks in Kenyasi to enhance economic activities and safety.

In response, Ahafo Regional Minister Charity Gardiner assured the traditional authorities of her commitment to pushing for road infrastructure improvements.

She also appealed for their spiritual and physical support to enable her to deliver effectively and leave a lasting impact as Regional Minister.
