The Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has lauded the minority in parliament for making public details of ongoing negotiations to purchase a chancery for Ghana in Oslo, Norway.
The Minority in parliament have alleged that Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Ministry was negotiating to buy a six-bedroom apartment at the cost of 12.21 million dollars.

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who broke the news said the price of the building, initially sold to an “unknown person” in August this year for 3.5 million dollars has been inflated.
He also accused the Foreign Affairs Ministry of not doing due diligence in the supposed purchase agreement, an accusation the ministry has dismissed.

“I will praise the NDC for their stance on 3 things: first, it was the drones, the Sino hydro deal and now the Oslo property controversy. That is the work of opposition,” he said.
He also commended President Akuffo-Addo for swift decision on matters of national interest especially on the purchase of the Oslo property by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

“What I like about the President is the fact that he takes criticisms in good fate and stops the deal if is not goodfor the nation.”
