“We are here today because we can’t pay that amount for the sheds; it’s too expensive. Some of the traders don’t even get the amount they are asking for within a year,” they said.

Speaking in an interview with Adomonline.com, one of the leaders of the group, Isaac Yeboah, accused the MCE and MP of exploiting them for their personal gains.

“The MP and MCE told us to pay GH¢ 200.00 for the sheds they wanted to construct for us which we agreed and paid accordingly only for us to be later told the GH¢200.00 isn’t enough and requires an additional GH¢300.00 cedis making GH¢ 500.00.

“Now that the sheds are completed for allocation we are now told to pay GH¢3.00 daily for a tent we have already paid for. We want the government to do something about it for us,” he stated.
