Speaking in an interview with Joy Business, Sandra Amarquaye, Communication Manager for Karpowership Ghana, confirmed that the company has been in negotiations with the Ministry of Energy to address outstanding financial obligations.
“We had a meeting with the Minister of Energy to bring to his attention the accumulated debt and engage in negotiations,” she stated.

“Discussions are still ongoing, and there is no threat of a shutdown based on our engagement with the government,” she assured.
She also reaffirmed Karpowership Ghana’s commitment to its partnership with the country, stressing that both parties are working towards a mutually beneficial resolution.
“Our relationship with Ghana remains strong, and we remain committed to working collaboratively towards a sustainable solution,” Ms. Amarquaye added.
