The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) is assuring stable electricity supply as Independent Power producer, Karpower shuts down its 470 powership for 17 days.

The shut down of the Karpower is to prepare for the relocation of the floating power vessel from its base in Tema on Thursday and berth in Sekondi in the Western region.
This comes as many Ghanaians fear the shut down may cause erratic power supply popularly known as dumsor.

But in a statement copied to Adomonline.com, GRIDCo said it has enough capacity to meet the power demand of the country.
