Renowned Justice of the High Court, Alexander Osei Tutu has been elevated to the Court of Appeals.
He was part of 16 Justices whose names were submitted to Parliament by President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo under powers granted by the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.
Justice Osei Tutu was sworn-in in a colourful ceremony at Jubilee House in Accra.
The newly appointed justices, comprising 12 men and four women, took their oaths of office, secrecy, and allegiance following the recommendation of the Judicial Council.
About Alexander Osei Tutu
He obtained his LLB at the University of Ghana in 2000 and was called to the bar in 2002.
In 2010, he joined the bench as a circuit court judge – after 8 years in private practice.
He became a High Court Judge in 2013.
Justice Alexander Osei Tutu holds an LLM in International Human Rights from the Fordham University and a Diploma in Transnational Criminal Law from the International Law Enforcement Academy at Roswell, USA.
