Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana urges neutrality ahead of elections

-

Samuel Afotey Otu, the National President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), has advised staff to remain impartial and avoid political involvement as the December 7 general election approaches.

He stressed their responsibility to uphold the law and support the judiciary, rather than aligning with political parties.

Speaking at the 2024 Annual Judicial Service Staff Durbar in Kumasi, Mr. Otu reminded staff to continue serving as a refuge for the aggrieved, highlighting their commitment to the law and judiciary.

The event offered staff the chance to engage directly with the Chief Justice, address concerns, and receive feedback.

Chief Justice, Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo also urged staff to avoid actions that could damage the service’s reputation.

The durbar, themed “Building the Pillars of Justice Delivery through Leadership, Innovation, and Technology,” gathered superior court justices, judges, magistrates, directors, and retired staff, who were honored for their dedication.
