Judging Bawumia by NPP’s past promises is unfair – Nana Frimpong Ziega

-

Nana Frimpong Ziega, a well-known media personality, has argued that it would be unfair to judge Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia based on the unfulfilled pledges of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall show with host Mike 2, Ziega clarified that Dr. Bawumia should not be held accountable for promises made by President Akufo-Addo, as he is not the current president nor has he authored any manifesto of his own.

“If we talk about the previous promises, you would be fair to Bawumia because he is not the president. If he were a candidate seeking re-election and brought a new manifesto without fulfilling the previous ones, then we could discuss it. But for now, he is not the president, and the previous promises were part of President Akufo-Addo’s agenda,” Ziega explained.

His comments came in response to concerns raised about the government’s failure to meet certain campaign promises from the NPP’s previous manifestos.
