English League One side Crawley Town has announced the signing of Ghana goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott.
The 27-year-old joins Crawley Town on a permanent transfer from Scottish Premiership club Hibernian, where he made only seven appearances.
Wollacott has signed a two-year contract with Crawley Town and expressed his excitement about this new chapter in his career.
Injuries limited Wollacott to just nine appearances for Hibernian last season in the Scottish Premiership, with five starts and one clean sheet.
Wollacott brings extensive experience from his early days at Bristol City, where he spent eight years and had multiple loan spells at clubs including Clevedon Town, Weymouth, Bath City, Woking, Truro City, Gloucester City, and Norway’s Bergsøy.
He made his professional debut with Forest Green Rovers, making a crucial penalty save in a 0-0 draw against Charlton Athletic.
After a loan spell at Swindon Town, Wollacott signed a one-year deal with the Robins, reuniting with current Crawley Town manager Scott Lindsey.
Wollacott speaks highly of Lindsey, reflecting positively on their time together at Swindon.
His career then took him to Charlton Athletic under former Swindon manager Ben Garner, where he made 20 appearances before moving to Hibernian.
Wollacott has also earned 11 international caps for Ghana.
