New Leicester City striker, Jordan Ayew has praised his fellow countryman, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, for his impressive impact at the club.

Ayew, who recently joined the Foxes on a two-year deal from Crystal Palace, expressed his admiration for Issahaku following his debut in Leicester’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

Issahaku, who secured a permanent deal after a loan spell from Sporting CP, has quickly made a mark at the club.

“I’m thrilled for him because he’s been outstanding since his arrival, and I’m really proud of what he’s achieved,” Ayew said. “He’s young with a bright future ahead, and I’m here to support him and the entire team.”

With a wealth of experience from 275 top-flight appearances, Ayew is confident in his ability to adapt to Leicester City.

He highlighted the importance of teamwork and the role of seasoned players in guiding younger teammates.

“We bring experience, and it’s our job to support the younger players. However, they also play a crucial role in helping us; it’s all about teamwork,” Ayew explained. “When joining a new club, it’s important to integrate quickly and ensure everyone feels comfortable.”

Ayew is determined to make a significant impact and contribute to Leicester City’s success this season.

He recognizes the challenges ahead but remains optimistic about the team’s potential.

“The key is to ensure that, as a club, we do everything necessary for a successful season,” Ayew remarked. “We must fight together and deliver strong performances to secure good results.”

Ayew is expected to make his debut for Leicester against Fulham on Saturday.
