Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is close to leaving Crystal Palace as he undergoes a medical at Leicester City.
Palace has agreed to a transfer deal valued at £8 million for the 32-year-old forward.
Ayew originally joined Crystal Palace on loan in 2018, with the move becoming permanent in July 2019.
However, his playing time has decreased under new manager Oliver Glasner, leading to a reduced role within the team.
During his time at Palace, Ayew made 212 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 22 assists across all competitions.
In Palace’s recent 2-1 loss to Brentford in their Premier League, Ayew came off the bench in the final 20 minutes, replacing Daichi Kamada.
Leicester City, who were promoted to the Premier League last season, started their current campaign with a 1-1 draw at home against Tottenham Hotspur.
Although Ayew received interest from Saudi Arabia this summer, he is now expected to complete his medical with Steve Cooper’s side for a permanent transfer.
At Leicester, Ayew will join fellow Ghanaian, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
