Jordan Ayew breaks silence after scoring first Leicester City goal

-

Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew expressed his enthusiasm after scoring his first goal for Leicester City in their EFL Cup win on Tuesday night.

Making his debut start for Leicester following his summer transfer from Crystal Palace, Ayew played a key role in their 4-0 home victory over Tranmere Rovers, contributing both a goal and an assist.

“I’m really happy. The win was important for us since we hadn’t secured a victory since the season started. We played well, scored goals, and the win boosts our confidence ahead of Saturday’s big game” Ayew told the club’s media team.

The 30-year-old forward delivered a standout performance, opening the scoring at King Power Stadium.

Leicester City added three more goals in the second half, with Stephy Mavididi converting a penalty in the 51st minute and Wilfred Ndidi and Harry Winks scoring in the 71st and 90th minutes, respectively.

Ayew will be looking to maintain his spot in the squad as Leicester City prepares to face Aston Villa at home in the Premier League this Saturday.
