President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Eric Adjei as the Acting CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), taking over from Kofi Ofosu Nkansah.
Before his appointment, Eric Adjei served as the Deputy Spokesperson for Vice Presidential Candidate Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang during the 2024 general election and as Deputy Bono Regional Communicator.
The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has a rich history, dating back to August 2014 when it was launched as the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) under the NDC administration.
The program was later rebranded and relaunched by the NPP government in July 2017 with a renewed focus on supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.
