General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, is urging the Ashanti regional NPP serial callers who protested against the leadership of the party Wednesday over government neglect to calm down.
The pro-NPP serial callers say the party’s leadership in the region have failed to reward them for their loyalty.
The communicators, drawn from various constituencies in the Ashanti Region, therefore, converged at Abbey’s Park clad in party colours and red armbands and set about 100 mobile phones on fire.

But speaking on the development, John Boadu urged the serial callers to cease fire, assuring them that their concerns will be addressed.
He urged members of the group calling themselves Volunteer Media Communicators for NPP to be decorous and stop attacking their regional executives.
“I urge the serial callers to be calm. We appreciate the support they are giving to the party and so it’s important that they go ahead and not give up. The president is really working for Ghana and so we expect them to also support the party and remain calm,” he said.
