Disqualified flagbearer of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Nabla has accused the Electoral Commission(EC) Chairperson, Jean Mensa of being jealous of her progress.
According to her, she is the only woman among the female candidates who has a master’s degree and is competent to be the next President of Ghana.
However, since she [Janet] poses a threat some candidates, hence they connived with Madam Mensa to disqualify her from the presidential race.
The candidate who has been incensed made these claims on Adom FM, stating there were candidates who were cleared despite errors on their forms.
“Jean Mensa should tell me what I have done to her to warrant my disqualification. She has been paid by some people who consider me as a threat to do this to me. It is a disgrace that a woman will be so jealous of her colleague woman,” she claimed.
Madam Nabla and 10 other candidates were on Friday disqualified from contesting the December 7 election.
This was after the EC conducted a detailed examination of the nomination forms submitted by the candidates to ensure compliance with the legal requirements.
Despite the EC’s assurance to refund their filing fees, Madam Nabla insists her disqualification was planned.
Amidst her threats to pursue legal action, she has also vowed to petition international bodies to conduct forensic audits on the cleared candidates.
