The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is clutching at straws following the sterling performance of the Akufo-Addo government in just one year.
According to the Member of Parliament for Bantama constituency in the Ashanti region, Daniel Okyem Aboagye the Minority is still dazed hence their resolve to kick against prudent measures rolled out in the 2018 budget.
Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta on Wednesday November 15 presented the budget for the year 2018 in Parliament.
The budget themed: “Putting Ghana Back to Work, according to Mr. Ofori-Atta, will stabilize the economy and offer reliefs including reducing electricity tariffs to make the private sector truly competitive and create more employment.
The Minority after the delivery flashed placards with the inscription “419 budget” claiming that the contents of the budget are non-factual and don’t represent the actual situation on the ground.
But the Minority on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Thursday said he is not surprised about the conduct of the Minority.
He said because the NDC was not able to accelerate Ghana’s development, it is moving heaven on earth to pull the NPP down.
The Bantama MP cited how the Akufo-Addo government in just one year has been able to achieve key campaign promises yet the doubting Thomases are failing to see the light.
He stressed government will not be distracted by the unnecessary noise of the NDC but remain focused to deliver all its promises to Ghanaians.
Hon. Okyem Aboagye expressed confidence in government’s ability to fulfill all its promises and put the country’s economy back on track.
