Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy has disclosed that he recently received an invitation to perform at a National Democratic Congress (NDC) rally in Kawukudi ahead of the December 7, 2024, general elections.
In an interview on Hitz FM, the award-winning musician shared that while he did not speak directly with the party representatives, he was informed of the request and is currently evaluating the offer based on the financial package.
“I’ve received calls from various political parties to perform. The most recent one is from the NDC. We’re assessing the fee, and if all goes well, I’ll perform for my fans and channel some of the funds into my upcoming BHIM Festival,” he stated.
Stonebwoy emphasized that his performances, regardless of the political platform, are aimed at promoting peace and unity among Ghanaians.
“As we approach the elections, all I want is a peaceful process. Whether I’m on an NDC, NPP, or CPP stage, I’ll be performing for peace. Ghana comes first, and in the end, we must all win as one nation,” he added.
Fans and political observers are now waiting to see if Stonebwoy will take to the stage at Kawukudi.
