The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of Legal Affairs, Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, is confident the party will form the Majority caucus in the ninth Parliament.
According to him, the NDC is close to achieving this target but for some skirmishes that marred the election.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, Mr Tamaklo stated that, the NDC is poised to secure its victory, adding the outcome of December 7 will be Ghana’s second independence.
“We will do very well in parliament and I’m confident about that. The election will be like Ghana’s second independence and I strongly believe that. We have gotten to the point that there is only one thing Ghanaians are expecting now that’s resetting the country,” he declared.
The legal practitioner is optimistic the current crop of people in charge of the NDC’s election and IT Department led by Dr Edward Omane Boamah are up to the task and will deliver.
“I have no doubt the NDC will form the next majority. Even in the 2020 results, we were beyond getting the majority. I’m aware of a few things that happened.
“But now under the able leadership of Dr Omane Boamah, Dr Tanko-Computer and the others have set their eyes on something and it is working,” he stated.
