Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, is anticipating a challenging encounter against Young Apostles in their upcoming Ghana Premier League match.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to face the league newcomers in the third round of the 2024/25 season at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, September 22.
In a pre-match interview with the club’s media team, Dr. Ogum acknowledged the difficulty of facing debutant teams like Young Apostles, citing the lack of tactical data on them as a key challenge.
“It’s always a challenge because you don’t have a lot of tactical information about them so it becomes a bit of a challenge,” he said.
“Apart from that too, I think, commonly, every team that comes to play Kotoko wants to make a mark so being a new team in the Ghana Premier League…I think they will triple their efforts to make sure that they put up a very good show,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will be looking to build on their positive start to the season, having secured a 1-0 victory in their opening match against Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.
