It is possible – Bibiani GoldStars coach Frimpong Manso on GPL title chances

-

Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Frimpong Manso, believes his team has a strong chance of securing the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.

GoldStars wrapped up the first half of the season in commanding style, leading the league table with 33 points. Their impressive performance included nine wins, six draws, and only two losses.

As the league resumes this weekend, Manso shared his optimism during a pre-match press conference ahead of their Matchday 18 clash against Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The experienced coach, formerly in charge of Kotoko, expressed confidence in his team’s ability to achieve the ultimate prize.

“It is possible we can win the Premier League title. We are not scared of any opposition,” Manso said.

He further assured fans of the team’s determination, emphasizing their strong form in the first half of the season.

“We will go all out against any side, and with our performance in the first half, nobody can rule us out of winning the title,” he added.

The former Ghana international further urged his players to step up their performance in the second round of the season.

“At the end of the first round, we amassed 33 points, which is good for us,” he said.

“It means we have done well, but it also means that we cannot go into the second half of the season with the same level of performance.

“We need to step up and improve,” he added.

The much-anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
