Isaac Dogboe clears air on consulting ‘juju’ [Video]

-

Former WBO Super Bantamweight champion, Isaac Dogboe, dismissed reports suggesting that he consulted ‘juju man’ before a fight.

His father and trainer, Paul Dobgoe in an interview with Joy FM last two weeks astonishingly revealed that they had a prophecy from a juju man that Dogboe will knock out Mexican Emmanuel Navarrete before the third round ahead of their rematch.

“We were bringing a stool that hasn’t come back to his throne yet. When you are repairing all these things they have to be doing certain rituals and things and we’ve done all that,” he said.

However, Dogboe was beaten for the second time as he suffered a 12th round technical knockout.

“But when the prophet told me that, Paul, things will not be well and I told my son that this fight, the juju people say we’re going to knock Navarrete out in round two and the prophet says this cannot be,” he added.

However, Isaac has taken to his Instagram to say he had no knowledge about what his dad said, insisting he has never consulted a juju man to help him win a fight.

“I want to make this very clear. I have no association with any fetish priest and I have never consulted any of them to help me win a fight. I have always credited my victories to God and God alone, so it doesn’t make sense for me to consult a fetish priest to help me win a fight.”

“God has been with me from the very beginning through all my victories and defeats because I believe and pray to God for all my victories.”

“These rumours that are going around, as ridiculous as they are they have caused a lot of embarrassment to me, my friends, and all those that I’m associated with. I have no desire to worship a deity” said Isaac Dogbe.
