Managing Director of the Produce Buying Company (PBC), Derek Kwaku Nkansah, has reportedly been attacked at his official residence.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, January 25.
Narrating his ordeal on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Nkansah alleged that the attackers were supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“They were about 17 on motorbikes and said they were from National Security. They claimed they had seen a V8 and another vehicle in my house, so they came for them,” he recounted.
According to him, the group towed the vehicles away, locked the entrances and doors, and severely beat his grandchild, who was in the house.
“They could not specifically identify themselves because later they claimed to be part of the ORAL task force. The key to the V8 was in the office, and all attempts to retrieve it proved futile. The vehicles are now at Blue Gate,” he lamented.
As someone still recovering from an illness, Mr. Nkansah said he is struggling to understand why people would act this way due to a change in government.
Meanwhile, he commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for swiftly deploying personnel, although the group had already left before their arrival.
