A member of the Communications Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has called on Ghanaians to blame the financial crisis being faced by the country on Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Wednesday, Sammy Gyamfi claimed that Ken Ofori-Atta has since assumption of office as Finance Minister not been helping with the effective management of the country’s financial sector.
“I agree with honourable Adongo that Ken Ofori Atta is the biggest threat to Ghana’s financial sector…,” he said.
The vociferous communicator claimed that the man who was touted by the President as being an asset to the country has been working to support perceived New Patriotic Party (NPP) companies including banks.
“He is practicing selectivity in the banking sector and supporting banks perceived to be NPP…,” he alleged.
Ken Ofori-Atta has come under a barrage of criticisms from communicators of the NDC following the takeover of uniBank by the Bank of Ghana.
The opposition communicators claimed that the Finance Minister and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana are failing to work to protect Ghanaian companies.
Sammy Gyamfi further called on government to stop the ad hoc takeover of the banking sector and also pay contractors so they can settle their loans.
