Ghana international, Inaki Williams found the back of the net in Athletic Club’s 2-0 victory over Leganes in a La Liga match on Thursday.
Athletic Club travelled to the Estadio Municipal de Butarque for the Matchday 6 clash.
After a goalless first half, Williams came off the bench in the 56th minute, replacing Alvaro Djalo.
His presence was quickly felt as just 10 minutes later, Dani Vivian opened the scoring for Athletic Club, converting a pass from Gorka Guruzeta.
In the 75th minute, Williams doubled the lead, finishing off an assist from Andoni Gorosabel to seal the win and all three points for his team.

This victory moves Athletic Club up to 5th in the La Liga standings, with a Round 8 fixture against Celta Vigo set for Sunday, September 22.
Williams’ strong performance also boosts Ghana’s hopes, as he is expected to play a key role in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying doubleheader against Sudan next month.
