Ghana forward Inaki Williams found the back of the net as Athletic Bilbao delivered a commanding 7-1 victory over Real Valladolid on Sunday afternoon at San Mamés Stadium.
The hosts took an early lead in the 10th minute through Mikel Jauregizar before Nico Williams doubled their advantage in the 35th minute.
Just before halftime, Maroan Sannadi added a third, and Oihan Sancet struck in stoppage time to send Bilbao into the break with a 4-0 lead.
Valladolid managed to pull one back shortly after the restart, with Mamadou Sylla scoring in the 47th minute.
However, Bilbao remained in complete control, with Nico Williams grabbing his second of the game in the 66th minute.
Gorka Guruzeta added another three minutes later, and Inaki Williams sealed the emphatic win in the 87th minute.
Inaki’s goal marked his fifth of the season, along with an impressive tally of eight assists.
The victory lifts Athletic Bilbao to fourth place in the league standings with 48 points. Up next, Inaki and his teammates will aim to maintain their fine form when they face Atletico Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano next Saturday.
