Former Deputy Minister for Volta and Oti Regions and a seasoned educationist, Maxwel Quophy Blagodzi, is confident he is the best candidate to represent the Oti Region on the Council of State.

Eight people, including incumbent Legon Cities CEO Richard Kings Atikpo, have officially filed to contest in the upcoming election. However, Blagodzi believes he stands out as the ideal choice.

Speaking with Adom News, he noted that his extensive experience in public service and education equips him with a deep understanding of the needs of the Oti Region.

He emphasized that his blend of experience, dedication, and community engagement makes him the best candidate to represent Oti at the Council of State.

“As a former deputy minister, I have been at the forefront of policymaking, advocating for educational reforms and infrastructure development that directly benefit the people of Oti,” he stated.

Blagodzi highlighted that his tenure in office was marked by a commitment to improving the region’s growth and development.

He also cited his background as a former assemblyman for the Chilinga Electoral Area, which has given him a grassroots perspective on governance. He noted that he has consistently engaged with community members, listening to their concerns and working collaboratively to find solutions.

This hands-on approach, he said, has earned him the trust and respect of the people, making him a relatable and effective representative.

Beyond politics, Blagodzi’s passion for community development is evident in his various initiatives aimed at empowering the youth and promoting sustainable practices.

He believes his vision for Oti aligns with the broader national goals of progress and inclusivity, positioning him as a strong advocate for the region’s interests at the Council of State.

With the election scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Blagodzi stressed that the Oti Region, known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant communities, deserves a representative who understands its unique challenges and aspirations.
