I’m not on a media tour to seek sympathy votes – Jomoro MP

-

The Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has clarified that her media engagements are not aimed at garnering sympathy votes.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, she expressed determination to resume campaigning to mobilize support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 general elections.

“This is a calling for me, and I won’t make any excuses. I’m not doing this media tour to seek votes; rather, I want to announce to the people the massive developments happening in Jomoro,” she said.

The MP, who is recovering from a serious accident she suffered in August, stated she has accomplished significant projects in her constituency.

“When a woman works hard, they label us as ‘slay queens.’ But I’m not afraid; I will showcase what I have done. I need to highlight my achievements,” she added.

Madam Affo-Toffey, who underwent medical treatment in the United States, is committed to what she calls a “retail campaign,” engaging with the community to ensure a strong victory for the NDC.

She expressed confidence in retaining her seat with a substantial vote margin, while also seeking God’s favour during this challenging time.

“I believe in the work I’ve done, and I’m optimistic that the people of Jomoro will stand with me,” she concluded.
