Founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has clarified that he is not affiliated with any political party in Ghana.
In an interview on Adom FM’s work and happiness hosted by OPD, Prophet Kumchacha emphasized that while he supports governments with a clear vision for national development, he is not a member of either the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“I don’t belong to any political party. I supported President Akufo-Addo during his time because we are from the same town, and I believed in his vision,” he stated.
According to him, he has been wrongly accused of taking bribes from both the NPP and NDC at different times simply because he expressed his views on governance.
“When I criticised the Mahama administration, I was accused of taking bribes from the NPP. And when I later criticised the NPP, they also said I had been paid by the NDC. But I’ve benefited nothing from either party,” he added.
Prophet Kumchacha advised Ghanaians, especially political party supporters, to be more discerning and not fight over political differences, stressing that many politicians are friends behind the scenes and do not take such issues personally.
“The people I pity are supporters of these political parties who take things too far and get angry over such issues because even politicians’ children will not come out to fight for them. The politicians are friends,” he said.
