I’m disappointed in NDC – PNC Chairman [Video]

The National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Samson Asaki Awingobit has said he is disappointed in the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This according to him is on the back of the failure of the NDC members to reach out and sympathise with PNC following the disqualification of its presidential candidate, Bernard Mornah from the 2024 election.

In an interview on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, Mr Awingobit stated Mr Mornah has also been perceived as an ally of the NDC.

However, the NDC and its leadership have neglected him [Bernard Mornah] at this critical time.

He said his expectation was that the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama or the Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia would symptahise with them but that has not happened.

“Since the time we held our congress and Bernard Mornah was disqualified, nobody from the NDC not even Mahama, Asiedu Nektia, Otukonor, Omane Boamah, Fifi Kwetey or Sammy Gyamfi has called.

“I move with Bernard Mornah every day and I’m sure if they had, he would have told me,” he said.

Instead, it is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who they least expected that reached out.

“The only person who called is NPP flagbearer who sympathised with Bernard and encouraged him that it is well. I was very surprised because we thought the NPP had a hand in our disqualification,” he stated.
