The running mate of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has pledged genuine loyalty to his flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and serve him well just as he served under President Akufo Addo.
Napo, as he is popularly known, said this after a rousing welcome to Bechem by excited chiefs, clergy and the Muslim community.
The people were yearning to meet him, having heard of his performance at the Ministries of Education and Energy.
In the company of party leadership at the National, Regional and Constituency level, Members of Parliament, and Ministers of state, Napo interacted with market women, artisans and other identifiable groups within the Tano South Constituency.
Speaking at his usual stakeholders engagement, Dr. Opoku Prempeh said that many were those who doubted the NPP to choose a northerner to lead them.
He said that Dr. Bawumia has learned as an apprentice under president Akufo Addo and that he is the most qualified person to lead the country.
Bechem Manhemaa, Nana Adwoa Poh Serwaa Dwamena II said Napo is the son of Bechem, and they will do everything to support the NPP ticket to ensure that their son [Napo] gets to the Vice Presidency.
