Health Minister-designate, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has revealed plans to investigate the previous government’s contract for drone delivery services if approved by Parliament.
The Juaboso MP, while acknowledging the importance of the drone service, raised concerns about the financial arrangements surrounding the project.
“I have personally raised issues about the drone service in Parliament. If this committee approves me, I will further inquire into the matter.
“Initially, we were told that government funds would not be used to pay for the drone service, but we are now making payments. I have come across some contracts between the Ghanaian government and the drone service providers, and I intend to investigate them,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the nominee commended the service providers, assuring that, if approved, he would cooperate with them if necessary.
“They are doing a fantastic job in this country, and we will work with them when needed.”
