I’ll check out of heaven if I meet Akufo-Addo and Bawumia there – Sammy Gyamfi

The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, recently made a bold and provocative statement about President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, the current administration as chaotic and deceptive, attributing these qualities to both Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.

Speaking in the interview, Metro TV, Mr Gyamfi said “Given the chaos and ongoing deception associated with President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, I would be genuinely shocked to find them in heaven in the afterlife.”

To underscore his point, Mr. Gyamfi used a vivid analogy: “If I were to die and find myself in heaven alongside President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, I would feel compelled to leave. I would be convinced I was in the wrong place because I believe the two lack the virtue required for such a realm.”

Mr. Gyamfi’s remarks, marked by his conviction that the current leadership lacks the moral integrity he associates with a heavenly space, have stirred considerable reactions.

Supporters have praised his candor and willingness to speak out, while critics have deemed his comments disrespectful and incendiary.

In the larger context of Ghanaian politics, Gyamfi’s statements highlight the deep-seated divisions and intense sentiments that permeate the current political landscape.
