I would’ve quit music if it wasn’t for Mr Eazi – GuiltyBeatz

-

Music producer, GuiltyBeatz says his career in the entertainment industry would have ended if it had not been for the intervention of Mr Eazi.

In an interview with JoyNews’ MzGee, the producer, born Ronald Banful, said music was not going on well for him although he had scored movies like ‘Heels and Sneakers’ and produced other acts including Jesse Jagz.

“I prayed to God and I was like, ‘God if nothing happens by the end of 2015, I’m moving out of Ghana to Canada or elsewhere to work,” he stated.

GuiltyBeatz disclosed when 2015 was coming to an end Mr Eazi approached him to work on a song together.

‘Sample You’ their masterpiece had taken off beyond the borders of Africa which GuiltyBeatz says he saw as a sign from God to keep on doing what he loves.

The duo went on to work on more songs like ‘Chance’, ‘Akwaaba’, ‘Pilolo’ and many others that went on to become crowd favourites.

“I worked with Pappy Kojo on a couple of songs and I took a verse from one of them, put the instrumental of Akwaaba at the background, posted it and it started trending.”

“Mr Eazi saw it and wanted to get on it, the next day he was already in the studio, writing the lyrics and advised we put Patapaa,” he added.

GuiltyBeatz has gone on to produce many more songs for artistes like Sarkodie, Jesse Jagz, Efya including working on three songs on Beyonce’s new album The Lion King: The Gift.
