Former Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has announced his decision to reject any potential appointment to a committee tasked with investigating the party’s recent electoral loss.
Speaking in an interview on Neat FM on January 10, 2025, he expressed disappointment over being sidelined from the NPP’s 2024 campaign team despite his long-standing dedication and significant contributions to the party.
He explained that his exclusion from the campaign team, despite his unwavering support, has made him unwilling to serve on any post-election review committee.
“After giving my all and supporting the team wholeheartedly, I wasn’t even recognized or appreciated. I was sidelined from the campaign team, so why should I join a committee now? If you were in my position, would you accept? I started a massive campaign, but when they formed the campaign team, I was left out,” he lamented.
Despite his grievances, Obiri Boahen reaffirmed his continued loyalty to the NPP, stating that he remains a member and wishes the party well.
