One of the renowned movie producers, Socrate Sarfo has vowed to organize a demonstration against the President elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, if he turns his back on the creative art industry.
According him, he would be first person to lead a demonstration against Nana Addo if he fails to fulfill the promise he made to the creative art industry.
Socrate Sarfo made this statement on Adom Entertainment Hall last Saturday hosted by Mike2.
He said he and his colleague creative art players did not support and campaign for Nana Addo and the NPP because of money but for the betterment of the industry.
“I will be the first person to organize a demonstration if the promises of Nana Addo to the create art are not fulfilled – I will lead a demonstration against him. Trust me, I am not doing this or I did not go the villages or we endorsed him because of what will come into our pockets but the betterment of the industry”, he revealed.
He said, he wanted a government that would fix the policies to change the destiny of the seemingly collapsed industry.
Socrate Sarfo noted that, if theatres are built for movies to be premiered, it would go a long way to enhance their works.
“If I vote for you to come to power and you don’t perform I will not keep quiet, no I am not interested in the money you will give to me, rather I prefer a long term investment into the industry to boast the business”, he maintained.
“If these theatres are there I can just go there and show my movie to get something in my pocket”, he said.
