I will accept offer to return to Hearts of Oak – Kwadwo Obeng Jr

Former Hearts of Oak striker Kwadwo Obeng Jr. has expressed his willingness to return to the club, stating he would not turn down an offer from the Phobian club.

Obeng departed Hearts of Oak after the conclusion of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season and has since joined Heart of Lions, who recently made their return to the top tier of Ghana football.

After netting his first goal of the season against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium during Matchday 9, Obeng Jr. hinted in an interview that he is open to returning to the Phobian club.

“I’ll not turn down the opportunity to return to Hearts of Oak. I played there, and I won trophies with them under Samuel Boadu,” he told Asempa FM on the Ultimate Sports Show.

He added, “I am a footballer, and that is my work. I don’t have any issue with any official of the club, and should they approach me about a possible return, I’ll not turn it down.”

Currently, Heart of Lions are positioned 7th in the Premier League standings with 14 points.

Following their hard-fought victory over Asante Kotoko, they will host Berekum Chelsea in their upcoming Matchday 10 clash at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
