I wanted to see my father in every man – Top CEO on why her first marriage failed

-

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Elene Mother Care, Emma Lucky Gyan, has revealed why her first marriage failed.

According to her, she had high expectations and wanted to see her father’s nature in every man she came across.

As someone who said she married at an early age she expected to see his nature in her prospective husband.

“My father was a sweet father and so I wanted to see my father in my marriage. My father’s name was in my marriage and I didn’t have the understanding that my husband was a different person,” she said.

Narrating her journey on Adom TV M’ashyase3, Emma said she went into marriage and realised the grass was always not greener on the other side.

“Early marriage is sometimes difficult. I did my best to make the marriage survive but it just didn’t work out. We had different views and never agreed on issues and there was always a misunderstanding,” she recounted.

Emma noted she eventually had to give up on her first husband and is now in a marriage which is better than the first, adding she has now realised all marriages are different and partners can never be the same.
