The former Deputy Minister of Education, Rev. Ntim Fordjour, has expressed his trust in Haruna Iddrisu’s ability to excel as the new Education Minister.
With President John Dramani Mahama appointing his ministers to oversee the country’s affairs, Haruna Iddrisu has been sworn in as the Minister for Education.
On Adom FM’s Burning Issues, Rev. Ntim Fordjour acknowledged the complexity of the education ministry but believes Haruna Iddrisu will deliver exceptional results.
He emphasized that the ministry requires a deep understanding of the education sector and is confident in Haruna’s capabilities.
“The Education Ministry is one of the most complex ministries in the country, but I have confidence in the new education minister, Haruna Iddrisu’s ability to do well in the ministry,” he said.
“A strong commitment is required, especially with the free senior high school program, to sustain, strengthen, and expand it for Ghanaians.”
Regarding the review of the free senior high school program, Rev. Ntim Fordjour believes there is no need for a review.
Instead, he stresses the importance of allocating sufficient funds to run the program effectively.
“I don’t think there is anything that needs to be changed about the free senior high school; it’s about the consistent allocation of funds to schools, that’s what is required of the government,” he said.
