The Minister nominated for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has openly expressed his support for Ghana Premier League side, Asante Kotoko.

The Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency was part of the third batch of Ministerial appointments submitted for parliamentary approval.

Adams, who will undergo vetting before officially assuming office, is set to replace Mustafa Ussif, who served as Sports Minister under the previous administration of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

“I support Asante Kotoko,” he said during an interview on Happy FM.

Adams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a focus on the Epidemiology of Parasitic Diseases. He brings extensive experience in education and politics to the role.

As Minister, Adams is expected to tackle critical issues in the sports sector, including improving sports infrastructure, securing better funding for national teams, and enhancing Ghana’s performance in major tournaments.
