Mother of fast emerging act, Joojo Addison, Madam Beatrice Essien Addison says he never wanted his son to be a musician.
According to her, bringing him up wasn’t easy because she was a single parent who wanted the best career for her son and it wasn’t music.
“I talked him out of music so much that it got to a point I had to beat him,” she confessed to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

Madam Addison said “Joojo would sneak out to go and do music I bet you. The beating didn’t stop. I quite remember he once sold tickets out and the show didn’t come on so the police were in search of him and I thought that would silence him but it didn’t.”

After failing to force Joojo through her own path, she endorsed the music side of his life after Mr Eazi signed him to join J. Derobie at Empawa Platform.
“I am not his executive producer, but I want to be part of his success. We are good now,” she told Andy Dosty.
