Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has expressed pride in her achievements thus far.

Madam Affo-Toffey is confident that she has done a commendable job as a first-time MP, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which is currently in opposition.

She made these remarks on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Friday.

The MP emphasized that, in addition to infrastructural developments, she has positively impacted the lives of many constituents in various ways.

She highlighted the provision of soft loans for over 100 women and numerous apprenticeship programs for young people.

“Some constituents benefited from free eye surgeries, and if every MP were to do what I have done, we wouldn’t need to rely solely on government support,” she stated.

“So I have done well as an opposition MP who was in court for 2 and half years and can pat myself on the back. People wonder and always ask how long I have been in parliament from,” she said.

Madam Affo-Toffey emphasised that her track record has been unprecedented in the history of Jomoro.

In this regard, she is confident her constituents will give her a second term on December 7, 2024.
