I never tagged economic hardship complaints as witchcraft – Ursula Owusu

-

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has dismissed media reports that she tagged Ghanaians as witches over economic hardship under the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

The Ablekuma West constituency MP was reported to have said that only witches are complaining of hardship in Ghana under the Akufo-Addo government.

However, a statement issued by the Communications Department of Ablekuma West NPP, said the MP only charged the NPP youth to trumpet President Nana Akufo-Addo’s achievements and not anything as being reported in the media.

“The MP never called anyone a witch for complaining but she merely touted the NPP government’s achievements as remarkable, tangible and asserted that only blind propagandists would feign ignorance of these visible achievements which were obvious and touched every home in the country.

“We urge the public to disregard false media reports and treat them with the contempt they deserve,” the statement said.
