I like John Mahama – Kennedy Agyapong confesses

-

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has disclosed that despite their different political affiliations, he likes the personality of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Known for his regular outburst and vociferous nature on matters of discussion, Kennedy Agyapong in an interview on NET 2 Television said, “I have a soft spot for Mahama, I really like him.”

According to him, but for the recent allegations levelled against him by a social media commentator Kevin Taylor in relation to the murder of the former MP for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah Adu, he (Kenedy Agyapong) would not have made revelations about supposed nude pictures of the former President.

This is not the first that the controversial lawmaker has openly admitted being in love with the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

It would be recalled that MyNewsGh.com reported in July last year how Mr Kennedy Agyapong expressed regrets that politics has taken the better side of an otherwise beautiful relationship that exists between himself and former President Mahama and his family.

According to him, but for politics, the cordial and warm relationship with the former president’s family was superb and the envy of many including members of his own party, the NPP.

He expressed worry that such beautiful and blossoming relationships with perceived opponents are truncated usually because of the entrenched positions that people expect them to take

Speaking on an Accra based local radio station and monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr Agyapong noted that because of his closeness with former president Mahama and his family, he is usually measured when it comes to discussing matters involving the former first gentleman and his family.

He is hoping for a time to come when maturity will take the place of mediocrity and when politicians will look beyond their own political parties but extend genuine hands of friendship to their opponents in the quest for peace and broader political tolerance in terms of expression of divergent views.
