Ghana international, Brandon Thomas-Asante has set his sights on Premier League football with Coventry City.
The 25-year-old striker joined the Sky Blues this summer from fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.
Thomas-Asante made his debut for Coventry City in a pre-season match against German club Werder Bremen.
After his debut, the striker expressed his ambitions on the club’s website, stating that joining Coventry would help him achieve his goal of playing in the Premier League.
“Goals, and excitement. Moments. I love to be expressive and instinctive,” he said. “I am playing freely which is something the manager has ensured he will allow me to do. I am super excited for that.
“The club knows they are on the cusp of the Premier League. We narrowly missed out a couple of years ago in the play-off final. We want that. Each of us, every player.
“I have had my eyes on the Premier League, I have always had my eyes on it. I feel like coming here, it will put me in that position. That is the task for the team and the club, from the owner all the way down to the fans, we are going to make it happen,” he added.
Thomas-Asante aims to score his first goal for Coventry when they face Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium in their opening match of the 2024/25 Championship season.
